A wet plastic granulator is a granulator in addition with water injecting into the cutting chamber. Namly, a plastic granulation with added water to assist washing and crushing. The water inlets are located at the top. Extra seal is used to prevent water seeping; also there is a tray to contain all excessive water at the bottom. To prevent rust, the rotor and the casing of the granulator are plated with a chromium nickel alloy or are galvanized. The benefits of Wet Granulation
Reduce the internal temperature, prolonging the service life of components like bearing, blades shredder machine and industrial shredder inner platens. Rinse material and crush at the same time. Prevent temperature sensitive materials (e.g. plastic film and wrap) from melting. The water flow cleanses the crushing chamber.

With wet granulators, the influx of water significantly reduces friction between the blades, lowering the temperature of the crushing chamber. Thus, this help alleviate plastic melting inside the chamber.

The video shows a wet plastic granulator (wet crusher) operates suceeding to a drum shredder. The 40mm wide HDPE stripes free falls into the wet granulator. The regrinds are then produced shredder machine and industrial shredder received by a friction washer. In fact, the granulator itself is a washing process, because dirt and sands are spun off during crushing. Application of Wet Plastic Granulator Plastic waste, purges or plastic rejects made from the following resins:
Acetal Acrylics Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) Alkyds Cellulosics Coumarone-indene Diallyl phthalate (DAP) Epoxy Fluoropolymer Melamine-formaldehyde Nitrile resins Nylon Petroleum resins Phenolic Polyamide-imide Polyarylates Polybutylene Polycarbonate Polyethylene (terephthalate) Polyimides Polyketones Polyphenylene oxide, Modified Polyphenylene sulfide Polypropylene Polystyrene Polyurethanes Polyvinyl Acetate (PVAc) and other vinyls Polyvinyl chloride Styrene acrylonitrile Styrene butadiene latexes shredder machine and industrial shredder other styrene co-polymers Sulfone polymers Thermoplastic polyester (Saturated) Unsaturated polyester Urea-formaldehyde
